The Elgoni Foundation has successfully concluded a two-week Youth Skills Development Training Program designed to equip young people with practical skills that support entrepreneurship and sustainable livelihoods.
The training covered topics including small business management, financial literacy, leadership, communication skills, and project planning. Participants also received guidance on identifying local business opportunities and developing simple business plans.
Throughout the program, experienced trainers and community leaders shared practical knowledge and encouraged participants to apply their new skills within their communities. Interactive group activities and case studies helped strengthen teamwork and problem-solving abilities.
At the closing ceremony, participants received certificates of completion in recognition of their dedication and active participation throughout the training.
Speaking at the event, the Foundation highlighted its commitment to empowering youth through education and capacity-building initiatives.
“Investing in young people is investing in the future of our communities. We are proud to support the next generation of leaders and entrepreneurs.”
The Elgoni Foundation plans to organize additional training sessions in other regions to ensure that more young people can benefit from similar opportunities.
